Say you are a graduate looking for an opening in the networking field. Suppose your friend told you that certification was the best way to get a networking job. But you may have difficulty choosing between a CCNA certification or a CompTIA N+ Certification. Let us look at few pros and cons of both the certifications.
CCNA certification is
difficult to clear and so it is widely respected in the IT industry.
N+ is relatively easier than CCNA. CCNA certification is for Cisco
networks. So, after a CCNA certification you have to look for a job
in which Cisco networks are used. But CompTIA N+ is vendor neutral.
So, you can join any company with any type of network. But, Cisco
accounts for more than 50 % of networks. So, it will be easier to get
a job with a CCNA certification.
Usually, N+ is done by
freshers and CCNA is done by people with few yeas of networking
experience. So, N+ mostly leads to entry level jobs such as network
installer or help desk technician. But a CCNA will lead to
designations such as system administrator or network engineer.
Whether you want to do a
CCNA or N+, it will be good if you can get some training with the
help of faculty. Institutes such as Softlogic IT Training Institute conduct systematic training for CCNA and N+ exams. Drop in at
